JOI EDWARDS-HAYNES

Co-Founder, Board President

Originally from St Louis, Missouri and the youngest of 5 children, she attended parochial schools from K-12, and later received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.  She has worked in a number of roles at Procter and Gamble, Ford Motor Company,  and United Airlines, and is currently the Patent Prosecution Operations Manager for the Texas Instruments Law Department.

Joi has served on the board of the Annie Malone Children and Family Services Center in St Louis, Missouri, and was a volunteer for Girls, Inc in Dallas, TX.  She has been a team captain for the Komen North Texas Race for the Cure for over 10 years, and has participated in numerous fundraisers for United Way. 

Joi, and husband Arthur established the Joi R Edwards-Haynes Minority Engineering Program Strategic Initiatives Endowment Fund at Purdue University and the Artie Haynes 86' Endowment for African American Students at the Mastery School of Hawken.

ARTHUR HAYNES SR

Co-Founder, Vice-President & Treasurer

Arthur, the middle child of three, was born and raised in East Cleveland, Ohio by Helen Haynes. After attending Hawken College Preparatory, he attended Purdue University and The University of Cincinnati, graduating with a BS degree in Biology.

Over the last 27 years Arthur has enjoyed a successful career as a published scientist and commercial business leader in the Biotech and Diagnostics space. He has conducted scientific seminars at prestigious institutions around the world including: Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, Curie Institute(Paris, France), University College London, and  Karolinska Institute(Stockholm, Sweden).


Currently, Arthur is Vice President North American Sales -Detection  at Tecan.  He is the Co-Founder and former Executive Board Member of Leica Biosystems' Black Coalition for Diversity and Inclusion. In addition, Arthur served on Leica's President's Council on Diversity and Inclusion.


Arthur and his wife Joi have established two educational endowments: The Artie Haynes 86' Endowment for African American Students at the Mastery School of Hawken (Nov 2020), The Joi R Edwards-Haynes Minority Engineering Program Strategic Initiatives Endowment Fund at Purdue University(Nov 2019).

In his spare time, Arthur enjoys several hobbies and participating in fundraisers and charitable events in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
