APPLY FOR A GRANT

In furtherance of its mission, the foundation provides small grants ($250-$1500) to non-profit organizations and in some cases, individuals demonstrating need to improve future outcomes. Examples of things we would potentially fund include:

  • STEM summer camp fees

  • Collegiate exposure events for middle and high school students

  • Textbook grants for post-secondary education

  • Financial literacy/life skills workshops

  • Tablets/laptops for online learning or on-campus coursework

  • Classroom necessities

  • Face coverings during the COVID-19 pandemic

This list is not exhaustive. Whenever possible, we intend to send the funds directly to the non-profit organization or school.


Application periods:

  • January 1st  February 28th 

  • June 1st -July 31st

Include with Grant Application:

  1. Letter of Inquiry (LOI)​​​

    1. Name of Applicant / Non-Profit Organization

    2. Full Address

    3. Phone Number

    4. Email Address

    5. Non-Profit Organization IRS TAX ID # (if applicable)

    6. Amount of Grant Request (not to exceed $1500.00)

    7. Description of proposed use of potential grant

    8. Signature of person submitting grant application

  2. Applicant resume

  3. Proposed budget for expenditure of potential grant funds.

  4. Documentary proof of Non-Profit IRS tax-exempt status (if applicable)

  5. Applicant Non-Profit prior year and current year to date balance sheet and income statement (if applicable)


Grant applications will be reviewed upon receipt of ALL materials requested above. All grant applications are subject to approval by the Foundation Board. Submit by email to info@haynesedwardsfoundation.org

NOTE: A phone/video conference interview and additional documentation may be requested before selection/funds are awarded.
