Our Mission

The Helen Haynes / William and Shirley Edwards Foundation conducts an annual workshop to give children and young adults tools to create a vision for their futures.  The foundation also provides small grants ($250-$1500) to non-profit organizations and in some cases, individuals demonstrating need to improve future outcomes.

The Foundation makes only "qualifying distributions" as defined in the United States Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(3) and governmental entities for public and charitable purposes.  Those organizations are exempt under Code Section 501(c)(3) should also be exempt under Code Section 509(a)1 or 509(a)2.

Limitations

The Foundation gives primary consideration to the City of Cleveland, Ohio and St. Louis, Missouri charitable organizations and individuals; however, all requests will be reviewed and considered.
